Worship Assist
A multitrack practice player for worship teams.
Most practice tracks give you one finished recording. Worship Assist plays a song as its separate tracks — every instrument and voice on its own — so you can drop the part you're playing, slow a run down until it's yours, or move the whole song into the key your team actually sings it in.
It plays your team's own songs. One person sets up a shared library and sends everyone a link; you paste it once and the songs are simply there, every time. There's no account, no password, and no subscription.

Installing on a Mac
- Click Download for Mac. The file saves to your Downloads folder.
- Double-click Worship-Assist.dmg. A window opens showing the Worship Assist icon next to your Applications folder.
- Drag the icon onto the Applications folder, then close that
window. (Don't run the app from there — that window is just the installer,
and you can throw the
.dmgaway afterwards.) - Open Applications and double-click Worship Assist.
- You'll see a screen called Connect a library. Paste the link your worship leader sent you and choose Connect. That's it.
Haven't got a link yet? Ask whoever looks after your team's music — or set a library up yourself (see below).
What you can do with it
- Mute or solo any part — drop the electric guitar and play it yourself, or solo the vocal to learn a harmony.
- Change the speed — slow a tricky run right down to learn it, then bring it back up. The pitch doesn't sag with it.
- Change the key — shown as a real musical key, not a number of semitones, and voices don't go thin or chipmunky.
- Loop a section — mark the bridge and let it go round until it's yours.
- See the music — every track drawn as a waveform on a timeline, with the song's sections labelled across the top.
- Build arrangements, medleys and set lists — skip a verse, stitch two songs into one seamless medley, or line a whole rehearsal up in order.
- Practise anywhere — songs download once and then play completely offline, and keep playing when you lock your screen.
Worship Assist is made for the practice that happens before you gather — so your team walks in ready.
Setting up a library for your team
Someone has to be the one who gathers the songs — that's the host. Worship Assist doesn't keep your music on our server; you point it at your own cloud storage (Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, or anything S3-compatible), and you own everything in it.
Hosting is done on a Mac, because building a song means bringing in each separate audio file and converting it. Once a song is published, everyone on the team can open it on whatever they practise with.
